The in-house floral team created the most stunning arrangements using proteas and fynbos that perfectly matched our Cape Floral Kingdom theme. The bridal suite was spacious and beautifully appointed. Highly recommend requesting the sunset ceremony slot — the Simonsberg turns golden at 6pm.

Boschendal is genuinely one of the most beautiful venues in the Cape Winelands. Our ceremony in the Werf Garden was exactly what we'd dreamed of. We did experience a slight delay with the shuttle service but the team handled it quickly and professionally. The catering was superb — particularly the charcuterie boards and dessert table. The estate's sustainability ethos also really aligned with our values as a couple.
Boschendal operates exclusively with our in-house culinary team for all catering at estate events. This allows us to maintain the highest food safety and presentation standards while showcasing the very best of Cape Winelands cuisine using our own farm-fresh produce. Couples are welcome to bring a personal wedding cake from an external baker, provided it is registered and compliant with relevant food handling regulations. We do not permit outside caterers or self-catered events. All beverages — including alcoholic and non-alcoholic options — must be supplied through the estate. Our beverage packages are fully customisable and competitively priced, with an excellent selection of Boschendal estate wines as well as premium spirits and craft beverages.
To secure your wedding date at Boschendal, we require a non-refundable holding deposit of 30% of the total quoted package value. This deposit is due within 14 days of receiving your formal quotation and confirms your exclusive booking of the chosen venue spaces. A further 40% of the total is due 9 months before your wedding date, with the final 30% balance payable no later than 30 days before the event. We accept EFT payments and credit card (subject to a processing fee). Payment plans may be considered for bookings made more than 18 months in advance — please discuss this with your dedicated wedding coordinator. Please note that all quoted prices are subject to annual review and pricing valid for bookings made during the same calendar year is guaranteed.
Yes — Boschendal offers a selection of luxuriously appointed on-estate accommodation. The standout is our Honeymoon Suite, which is a beautifully restored historic cottage with private garden, clawfoot bath, and sweeping vineyard views — available to the newlyweds as part of our Premium and Luxury packages, or bookable separately. We also have a number of farm cottages and lodge suites available for the bridal party and close family, sleeping between 2 and 6 guests per unit. These are subject to separate nightly rates and availability. We recommend booking accommodation concurrently with your event as it is extremely popular, especially for Saturday weddings. For larger groups, we can also recommend trusted nearby guest houses and boutique hotels within the Franschhoek village that work closely with us.
